Description: On Sunday, June 7th I took a walk in the late afternoon in my Fort Greene neighborhood in Brooklyn. As mentioned, my camera has brought me closer to people in the neighborhood since I began my daily photo project which began at the end of March 2020 in the midst of COVID-19. It has now become images reflecting two pandemics: Racism and COVID-19. Like COVID-19, racism in America is a virus. Two people, who were walking down Fulton Street, held signs that I could not make out. I asked to read them. They obliged and then agreed to let me take the photo. I call it “Whites Must Take On This Fight!”
